New Google Maps

Google just announced a new service – Google Mars. If you are used to using Google Maps this is very similar but now you can explore The Red Planet and see all about the Martian Landing.

Here is an excerpt from About Google Mars:

This map of Mars, published by Percival Lowell in 1895, was the result of many years spent carefully studying the Red Planet through his telescope. Now you can do the same through your web browser. In collaboration with NASA"s researchers at Arizona State University, we"ve created some of the most detailed scientific maps of Mars ever made.

If you have half as much fun exploring them as we did making them, you"re in for a great time.

What you are looking at on these maps are Elevation – done in shaded relief map (color coded by altitude), a Visible map taken from the Mars Orbiter Camera, and Infrared images taken by the Thermal Emission Imaging System from NASA"s Mars Odyssey Spacecraft (Shown by Brightness – Darker/Deeper Color Colder – Brighter/Lighter Warmer)

Miquelrius Journal – New Images

Click on the photo above to see my Flicker Set of Photos – I updated these with better photo and better cropping. You will find my updated images for my craft project of making a leather cover that would fit the Miqulrius Journal. I chose the Miqulrius Journal since it has many more pages (400 Pages) and it can still fit into my back pocket or inside coat pocket. I wanted the leather to hold in my index cards and some post-it notes, post-it notes tabs, some print-outs, and some money. The paper is a very nice quality alowing me to use my favorite fountain pens and ink.

PSP Stand – For only 25 Cents!

Well – I know I would love to try and make one of these myself but – I am sure it will cost me more then 25 cents – (New Desk – New Keyboard – New Mouse ) after burning plastic melts all over it.

Honestly this really is a cool idea and seems like it would be pretty easy to make.

Plus he has good taste in movies – Hackers one of my favorite movies. Or Better Yet Get it on UMD for PSP
