Do you have a hankering for a hunk of cheese (Ah School House Rock) Or you have no idea where you want to go to lunch? - Well the Wheel of Food to the rescue. Just type in the Zip Code box where you want to eat some grub at and then type in what you want to eat - (Lunch, Dinner, Italian, Breakfast, Pizza, Hamburgers, Steak, Seafood, Ok You get the idea) Then you get to spin the wheel of Food and see where you are going to go - What is nice is this website pulls it data from Yahoo-Local and even gives you their ratings and website info in case you don't know where this place is located at.

Relax Online for Free

Mood Music Relaxation Zen LikeI just had to share this website I was told about today - It is called Free Soothing Music - and i have been listening to it for the past couple of hours and it is wonderful. I feel my inner self being relaxed. I was able to get quite a bit accomplished as I was relaxed. I do feel music tames the beast and this music is like sitting in a hot tub for your mind. Make sure you check out the categories page as there is even more relaxing music available there as well. You have to choose from Exotica, Acapella, Easy Listening, Easy Pop, Instrumental Pop, Jazz, Lounge Music, Mood Music, Orchestral, Torch Songs and Vocal Pop. So far all the channels I have listened to are soft, easy to listen to and relaxing. I might go as far to say this music is Zen like to the soul. Give it a whirl and enjoy.

Peace

Merlin

Merlins Take on the Super Bowl Ads

So this will sorta be off topic today - But I watched the Super Bow last evening - I usually enjoy watching for the advertisements more then the game its self (Except last year when the Steelers were in it) I have to say I really was disappointed this year. There really was no one advertisement that just really stood out.

I have to admit I did like the Snickers Commercial Called The Kiss, and I liked the FedEx Commercial and the First Office on the moon.

The Taco Bell Commercial with the two lions (I felt was pretty lame - But at least it was original)

The Coke Commercial are all ones I have seen in the past and so don't get a vote for me as I thought the super bowl commercials were to be new and exciting.

I did like the the commercial for e-trade and what you can do with one finger. That was creative.

The Bud Commercial for the Beer stealing crabs - was just a 3.0 out of 5.0 Creative but why?

The Career Builder Commercials - Those were much better then the monkey commercials from last year. Not even sure it was for the same company but still better.

And that sales Genie commercial - just plain dumb.

But have to give too thumbs up to Sierra Mist for the Beard Comb Over. Original and Creative.

I also have to give two thumbs up for Nation Wide and the Life Comes at you Fast and K-Fed.

Online Tool: Visuword - Online Visual Dictionary

Visual Word - Visual Dictionary Like a Mind MapPreviously I wrote about the Visual Thesaurus and now I found another cool online word tool - VisuWord - They call it the online visual dictionary. I have to agree - I like how it interlinks the words and visually shows you which words are related and which ones are the same and which ones are opposite. This can be a fairly useful tool - Not something I will use everyday but can be quite useful to have in your arsenal of word tools. Like using a mind map but of words and their inter-relationship.

Google App Short Cuts KeysI love using the different Google Apps (Calendar, Gmail, Docs, Maps, Video, Reader) And I have found out that one of the things that makes working with all the different Google Apps that much easier is the use of the Keyboard Shortcuts. Well, Smallwire has a nicely formated chart of all the Keyboard Shortcuts.

Free Research Help - CrossEngine.com

Categories: Computing, GTD, Hack, Search Engine, Web Service.

Today I found a real time saver when it comes to searching for information. It is called CrossEngine - Beyond Search.

To use this new search engine is pretty easy type what you are looking for in the search box and press enter - You will have then just searched for your term in google.

Ok, I will wait tell you stop saying "Yeah Whats the Big Deal" - Well here is where the WEB 2.0 / AJAX comes into play - Which is what this search engine uses.

You will notice little tabs across the top:

WEB, Images, Video, News, Blog, Shopping, Reference, Files, Tags, Social

Each of the Tabs list all of the search engines available under the search box.

Example: The Web Tab Has These listed:

Google, Yahoo, Live, Ask, AOL, Exalead, Gigablast, DMOZ, Altavista, UTN, All The Web, Snab, WotBox, Hakia, Clush and Many Many more

There are quite the selection of all the different forms of search - You can instantly at the click of a button best of the best and a few that you may not have heard of.

I really liked the image search - Google, Yahoo, PhotoBucket, Flickr, Getty and again many more.

I am also cross posting this to my other Blog Dr-T.com - Dr Tech Check it out for more technical blog entries.
