I enjoy looking at catalogs, and I love the Gadget sites (ie. Levengers, Hammacher Schlemmer, Think Geek, CompGeek, Cyberguys etc…) While I was drinking my morning coffee and just finished my morning run thru of my email – I took a look at FireBox.com – And their PixelBlocks Caught my eye. This really is a cool toy – I can see it almost replacing Lego's well for at least in the art department. Vision, Dream, and Fantasy – Those are the names of the sets of PixelBlocks available (550, 870 and 2000 Pieces) With any of these sets you can really make some impressive looking deisgns. Such at this nice looking Dog done all in Pixel Blocks.
But you wonder how are you going to make your own design to play with all of these different Pixel Blocks – Don't Fear – PixelBlock.com is here to the rescue. TAGS:PixelBlocks Pixel+Blocks Lego Bricks Pixel Art Stained Glass Stained+Glass 2d 3d

Want to sit down to a nice cup of eggnog - Have a few puffs on your pipe with your favorite winter pipe tobacco – and then read the story A Christmas Carol to your family. BUT Wait – Podcast Pickle and Group have produced "A Podcast Christmas Carol" It is a modernization of the traditional Christmas Carol Story. I heard it last evening on my XM as I was listening to the David Lawrence Show. (BTW Great Show to Listen To) David Lawrence is the main actor in this story as Scrooge. There is quite a cast too boot. Too Many to mention here – But I listened to this and really enjoyed the story. But for a few moments of Christmas Joy Check out The Santa Dance – A Hamster Dance Type of page featuring the True Meaning of Christmas – (Hover Your Cursor over each Dancing Santa To Read it) – This page has been around for over 8 years now and still going pretty strong. Spread the word and share the true meaning of Christmas.

I was just presented with this site. LetsSayThanks.com – In co-operation with Xerox Corp you can thank the troops that are fighting for our freedom. Lets all take this good opportunity to let them know that we are behind them. No matter what your view of the war is these men are serving our country and this is an easy (AND FREE) way for us to show our appriciation and support of their decision to join the armed forces and serve to keep our country free.

I like to use Google for most of my searches and I think I am pretty good at preforming a good search. But how well do you know from a group of 20 photos what term was searched for on Google – That is where Guess the Google comes in to play. I played today and got into the Top 10 Top Scorers. What really makes this game hard is you have a time limit and get better scores the faster you can type in the word. Each round there was at least one that I could not identify.
So what is your best score – Post it here for all to see.

I felt this was an important thing to remind people that yes it is now cold and flu season and there are definite was to cut down on getting sick. Find me a cure has a list of 23 different ways to reduce the risk of getting a cold / flu. Since I work with different people and their keyboards I always carry around with me a little bottle of Purex Hand Sanitizer plus when I am done working at their desks I try to wash my hands with soap and water before leaving if at all possible.
Some of the other suggestions is to use a paper towel to turn off the water spigot when washing your hands and then use another one to open the door as there are a large percentage of people that don't wash their hands afterwards. (Well that is just sick pun intended)
Another tip is to wash twice to remove even more germs then a single wash.
And Yet Another tip is to use your knuckle to rub your eyes as the eyes are a perfect entry point for germs and the knuckle tends to have less germs then the finger tips.
Another is to cough / sneeze into your arm not your hand as you don't use your elbow to shake hand or touch objects etc… and less likely to spread them around. (Well this helps others not catch what you got and helps not get your cold back again.)
Another tips is to blot/rub your nose gently don't blow hard as that just puts the germs back into the sinus cavity.
Their list had plenty of common sense tips as well as a few that seemed over the top. But if you don't want to get sick being extreme might help.

How many times have you been out and don’t have a Ruler to measure something you saw at the store or to see if it will fit an application you are working on at home.
Well I have found an easy solution for you. What you need to do is to keep with you is a paper ruler in your wallet/organizer. And Mitchell Charity’s Site he has placed several different versions that you can print out on your printer (as long as you don’t allow the printer software to resize it) that you can cut out and keep with you in your organizer.
I printed out the Metric and Inch Ruler. Hey you really never know when you need an exact measurement (well a pretty darn close measurement). I put these up against my nice metal ruler that I keep on my desk and these are really close.
This is a nice cheap inexpensive way to add a measurement device to your organizer.
Here is the Link to Print out the Free Printable Rulers: FREE Printable Rulers
You Need to click on the PDF version and Download it to your Computer and Use Adobe PDF Viewer to print these to your InkJet or Laser Printer. The PS Version is the PostScript Version that can be used to edit. But not easy to do. The Following Rulers are available on Vendian.or:
One Foot – Metric – centimeter – Multiple on one page – etc…
Remember to Print these click on the above link and use ADOBE PDF Viewer to print to your own inkjet or laser printer.
