Today I learned about an instrument called the Chapman Stick – It been around since the 1970’s. This musical instrument is freaking awesome. What can I say. I love innovative things. This really is a cool instrument that looks like a guitar, but played like a Piano. Seems to be harder to master then the piano as this instrument has what is called texture. Take a look as the following videos, and you will see what I mean. The Chapman stick is fully customizable to the player. It has incredible pickup and only a slight touch of the strings makes some beautiful music. I will let the following videos speak for themself. ENJOY.

The teaser ad for this full length video made me look for it. This has to be one of the best music videos and commercials for the Super Bowl. I usually watch the Super Bowl for the ads.
A lot went into making this video – Watch it first and see all the events that went into making this.
There was 55 Piano’s, too many guitars and over 1,100 various musical instruments to make up this video. I really is amazing how OK Go get to do all this. I love their creativity and salute them. I hope the keep this up.
OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they’d play the right note no matter where they were struck.
This is the Star Wars Video you need to watch: – Waves Hand over head. Evil Laugh inserted here.
I don’t have much to say about this video – except you need to watch it. If you are a Star Wars Geek you will really love this.
Check out the Piano Guys and their No 1 Youtube Hits.
Don’t have much else to say about this except to watch it now. And Watch Darth Vader’s Cameo.
This was amazing to watch – But make sure to watch the follow up videos on how they practiced this jump for months before today (May 29th 2011’s) big jump at the Indy 500. The way they made the jump look just like the Hot Wheel Race Track I used to play with as a kid. I think I attempted this same jump from the living room couch many time before. But it never looked this cool. Way to go Tanner Faust – From Top Gear. Tanner is the Yellow Driver. They have been keeping him under wraps until today. Todays jump was 332 feet – A little over the length of a foot ball field. I like how he described it as flying thru the uprights.
Now Enjoy the videos:
Here is Tanner Faust talking about the practice and leading up tod the jump today.
